Maritrans® MD

MARITRANS® MD is a one-component,
transparent, hard-elastic, high-solids,
solvent-based, cold curing, aliphatic
polyurethane membrane, used for longlasting
waterproofing.
This high-technology coating is UVstable,
non-yellowing, weather stable,
alkali and chemical resistant and even
after ageing it remains transparent and
elastic.
MARITRANS® MD protects and
waterproofs mineral surfaces against
water penetration, frost, smog and acid
rain. Aged and oxidized plastic surfaces
look more transparent after coating with
MARITRANS® MD. It also waterproofs
damaged glass surfaces. Using a unique
curing system (moisture-triggered),
which unlike other similar systems, it
does not react with moisture (moisturecured)
and does not form bubbles.

MARITRANS® MD is used for the
waterproofing of balconies and terraces,
ceramic surfaces, glass and glassbricks,
wood, transparent plastics (e.g.
polyacrylate, polycarbonate) and for the
protection of natural stones. It is also
used as a transparent binder resin for
sand/stone carpet flooring applications,
especially in exterior spaces, where
flexibility and UV stability are required.
