Exposed Glass or Transparent Plastic Surfaces (Polycarbonate, Polyacrylate, etc) as Lightdomes, Skylights, Rooflights, Glass-Bricks walls are difficult to waterproof. Especially if a construction like this is leaking the waterproofing is very challenging.

MARIS POLYMERS offers a unique transparent coating technology, the transparent liquid-applied Polyurethane waterproofing system MARITRANS®.

The MARITRANS® is a technologically advanced, transparent liquid polyurethane waterproofing membrane that offers easy application, full certifications, and most importantly guaranteed long lasting results. It can be used for new glass/plastic constructions but also for repair or renewal.

MARITRANS®

Properties

The MARITRANS is a transparent, hard-elastic, one component, aliphatic polyurethane, high-solids coating, used for long-lasting waterproofing. This high-technology coating is UV-stable, non-yellowing, weather stable, alkali and chemical resistant and even after aging it remains transparent and elastic.

The MARITRANS protects and waterproofs mineral surfaces against water penetration, frost, smog and acid rain. Aged and oxidized plastic surfaces look more transparent after coating with MARITRANS. The MARITRANS waterproofs damaged glass surfaces and protects of glass fragments in case of breaking.

MARITRANS is using a unique curing system (moisture triggered), and unlike other similar systems it does not react with moisture (moisture-cured) and does not form bubbles.

MARITRANS® FINISH

Properties

The MARITRANS® FINISH is a satin-matte, transparent, semi-rigid, one component, aliphatic polyurethane coating, used for matt finishing over MARITRANS®  polyurethane coatings. The MARITRANS®  FINISH is UV-stable, non-yellowing, abrasion resistant, alkali and chemical resistant. It gives the surface a satin-matte look.

The MARITRANS® FINISH is using a unique curing system (moisture triggered), and unlike other similar systems it does not react with moisture (moisture-cured) and does not form bubbles.

Applications

The MARITRANS® FINISH is used as a satin-matte,transparent finishing coating in combination with the MARITRANS®  for:

  • Transparent waterproofing of Balconies and Terraces

MARITRANS® TILE-PRIMER

Properties

The MARITRANS® TILE-PRIMER is a transparent, one-component adhesion promoter that chemically activates ceramic and glass surfaces providing excellent adhesion to the coating that follows. Solvent based. Cures by reaction with ground and air moisture.

Applications

The MARITRANS® TILE-PRIMER is mainly used as an adhesion promoter (primer) for MARITRANS transparent polyurethane coatings on non-absorbent glazed surfaces like:

  • Glazed ceramic tiles
  • Glass
  • Glass bricks, etc.

The MARITRANS® TILE-PRIMER can also be used in combination with other MARIS POLYMERS polyurethane coatings.
